Austin-based Incenergy’s technology reduces energy expenses for oil giant and saves jobs

Austin, TX – April 7, 2015 – Incenergy, the leader in energy management systems for commercial environments, today announced that a noted global leader in the oil and gas industry has implemented Incenergy’s Energy Management System, including electricity monitoring and HVAC control, into their worldwide operations. The first phase of controls yielded the company nearly 20 percent reduction in energy consumption, helping to expand the company’s green programs and save more than $350,000 per year across 33 sites.

“Companies heavily focused on energy production understand better than most the need to reduce consumption,” said Barry McConachie, CEO of Incenergy. “Energy efficiency is quickly becoming a major process for oil and gas companies as they adapt to lower oil prices. Incenergy’s technology platform is now a competitive advantage for these companies, even helping save the most important competitive factor – jobs for their professionals.”

The complete implementation includes HVAC control, integrated load controllers with energy metering which provides visibility into energy consumption, peak monitoring and the power factor of equipment. The total buildout will consist of the company’s US sites and operations across South America, Middle East, South East Asia and Africa. Once the implementation is fully completed, the oil giant will realize a yearly savings of nearly $2,000,000 in just electricity cost alone.  Additionally, Incenergy is providing full automation and visibility into 95 percent of their energy portfolio that was previously “digitally invisible” to them – enabling control, scheduling, monitoring, trending and proactive maintenance from any computer or smartphone.

Incenergy’s Energy Management System was chosen by the oil conglomerate due to the company’s wireless technology, secure mobile platform and the ability to quickly scale globally. In an age where BAS can be hacked, Incenergy removes the possibility by remaining independent of the client’s network. While Incenergy competes with very large companies, agility and flexibility are key in successful deployments for large Fortune 100 clients.
